  • there is no longer any trust

  • one or both partners feel that they are not understood

  • one or both partners feel unsupported

  • Criticism or disappointment is no longer expressed

  • a partner cheats

  • there is disruptive external influences (e.g. family, in-laws, friends)

  • because of the relationship, psychosomatic complaints arise

  • important wishes of a partner are no longer addressed or taken into account

  • one of the partners often criticizes the other or both often criticize each other

  • Plans or goals for the common future differ widely 

  • there are hardly any common interests

  • the relationship is one-sided, that is, only one partner  determined about all relevant topics and activities

  • either or both of them are seldom or never satisfied sexually

  • the feeling prevails to "become a stranger"

  • Disputes with mutual blame increased 

  • one or both partners lack personal freedom

  • a partner suffers from excessive jealousy 

  • physical or emotional closeness is lacking

  • there is dissatisfaction with the roles in the relationship

  • there are doubts about the relationship and possibly even the intention to separate

  • there is mistrust and insincerity in dealing with one another

  • there is emotional blackmail

  • there is an unexplained or unfulfilled desire to have children

  • there are unsolvable conflicts

  • Life crises such as illness, death, accidents, professional crises exist

  • there are problems through or after parenthood
